Founder/Chief Curator, Audra Lambert
Audra Lambert (b. 1987, New Orleans) is an independent curator, artist coach and art critic based in New York City. Lambert is Founder/Curator of Antecedent Projects (2014-Present), an NYC- based curatorial consultancy focused on site-specific projects throughout the five boros and in urban NJ. Throughout her career, Lambert has written proposals for various art nonprofits throughout NYC. She served as curatorial manager of Art in Odd Places 2018: BODY, and as Project Coordinator for More Art (2015-16) spearheading projects with artists Dread Scott, Amy Wilson and Sari Carel.
Lambert has curated exhibits with the La Esquina NYC (2019-20), Yeshiva University Museum/Center for Jewish History (2018), New York City Parks Dept's Arsenal Gallery (2017), Fountain House Gallery (2018) Flux Art Fair (2016) and more. Along with Kimi Kitada and Adam Zucker she co-founded social justice initiative alt_break, and has worked with NY-based art nonprofits Independent Curators International and Art in General. Previously, Lambert served as an art critic for the Culture Trip, Untapped Cities, Art Nerd NY, Americans for the Arts, and Quiet Lunch, among others.
ANTECEDENT Projects is a curatorial consultancy founded by curator audra lambert in 2014 to produce site-specific investigative curatorial projects throughout the greater new york metro area.
